Ophelia has never been kissed. With no prospects, much less opportunities, she is surprised when she suddenly finds herself in the arms of the desirable, devastatingly handsome Aidan Lawlor, Earl of Lambourne. She is swept on a tide of emotion so unfamiliar that she is momentarily unsettled. When she regains her senses, she finds that her reputation is in tatters, male callers abound (all with nefarious intents) and the Earl hanging from a tree outside her bedroom window! Should she open her window and invite him in?

Aidan Lawlor craves stability and propriety. Having recently rebuilt his family fortune and respectability, he avoids scandal at all costs. Besides, he is practically engaged to a very wealthy and beautiful incomparable. So why is he hanging from a tree outside a most unsuitable debutante’s window? Suddenly, everything in his well-ordered world becomes discombobulated as passions flare with a most unusual auburn-haired beauty named Ophelia. Will she bring the balance he needs to thwart the unwanted secrets from his past and provide him with the stability he craves?
